I am a Man
Love me as I am…
Life has never been more tough
With people voicing their opinions
And acting a little rough
They judge me, they hate me
They do whatever they can
But I, too, am God’s creation
Love me as I am…
In this world of materialism
People have lost the human touch
They beat one, they isolate the other
And claim they have done much
They pull my strings in all directions
And test me to the core
And yet each day I tell myself
That I can take a little more.
I make my share of mistakes
And learn to rise each time I fall
But don’t you please judge me
For I am a man after all
Give me a chance and have some faith
So I can prove myself worthy
And even if that does not happen
Don’t wonder why I stalled
Just let me be ME and be kind as you can
Because I, too am His Creation
Do love me as I am.
